A few years ago I found the sexisfun.net forum, which really was special to me. It was a forum from the Sex is Fun podcast for members to discuss sexuality related topics. There weren’t a lot of people on there, but the people and conversation were great.
Since it’s faded away, I’ve been looking for something similar. Since MrsZ and I take a lot of pictures, this was a fun outlet for a while. But this place squashes discussion (by design).
For the last few weeks I’ve really been enjoying fetlife.com . It isn’t nearly as close-knit as the sexisfun forum was, but it is I NSANELY active, which is nice.
I’m MrZBud over there if you want to find me.
sweetreflections replied to your post: New toy. Nice to see Mr and Mrs Z posting again.Thanks. I don’t have any plans to be posting here regularly any time soon, though. I’ve started myself a non-vanilla Facebook profile, “Mrz Bud”, if anyone cares to join me there. It’s much less pornographic, but way more communicative.
DIY* Liberator stage:
Our massage table is once again proving itself to be the best $120 we’ve ever spent. I realized that, when folded, it is almost exactly the same height and width as the Liberator Stage. It’s about a foot shorter, but we haven’t found a need for that extra foot yet. The first test ride was good but not great (it didn’t compare to the guest bed). I think it needs to be 2-6in taller… Hopefully that can be accomplished with a folded thick blanket.
*Less Do-It-Yourself and more Luckily-Already-Owned-It

Negative Nancy’s take on your idea:
1) I wonder if the ramp substitute would be long enough. I would assume the length/angle of the ramp was relatively carefully chosen. Losing 10” seems like it would be too much.
2) Cutting the wedge substitute seems like a good idea, but cutting foam is usually really difficult to do evenly. I think a hot wire is what they use to do that professionally, so that it more melts through the foam rather than cutting it. I’m not sure where to get that type of equipment. And then the cover wouldn’t fit, so you’d have to fix that as well.
3) plus the liberator covers are really nice and washable and waterproof… These seem like necessary features (although maybe the pillows your looking at are waterproof as well; I didn’t check.
I have a liberator wedge. On it’s own it’s a nice accessory, but not fantastic. It may be a lot better in tandem with the ramp, though. Have you used them?
Fun story time: We just stayed in my moms guest room (separate from the house). The bed in there is really low to the ground. With the blankets thrown on the floor at the end of the bed, it was only abut 12” from ground to top of bed. Me kneeling at re end of the bed was an amazing position to fuck MrsZ… The best new position we’ve found in ages. Very relaxing, very accessible, very orgasmic. WE NEED A LIBERATOR STAGE.
I’m still looking for DIY ideas. Maybe I’ll swing by JoAnns Crafts— they have lots of foam and sewing stuff. Maybe I’ll find something… Maybe…
But yeah, now I really really really want one.
As previously mentioned, I’ve been looking for a cheaper and/or DIY version of the Liberator sex pillows. The wedge/ramp combo pictured above costs $200. I’ve found a solution that, while not exactly the same, will run you $60-70 shipped in the ConUS.
The Liberator ramp measures 34”L x 24” W x 12”H. This $29 foam wedge pillow from Amazon measures 24”L x 24” W x 12”H. The reviews say that it’s very firm, which, for the purposes mentioned here, is a good thing. The angle of the cheap one will be steeper because of the shorter length, but it should still serve the same purpose.
I had trouble finding a good substitute for the wedge (that’s the smaller one). The Liberator wedge offers a 27 degree angle and measures 14”L x 24” W x 7”H. I have two potential solutions:
- Option 1: You can buy same pillow mentioned above, but in a 7” height for $27. You’ll have to trim the foam to proper length, though, and I don’t know how difficult this will be.
- Option 2: Buy two of these and put them side-by-side. You’ll need two because they’re only 10” wide each. They cost $15 each and the shipping is another $11 (at least to my house). That’s $41 total, while the Liberator wedge is on sale right now for $72.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve come up with so far. Any thoughts on these? Other great ideas?
Confession: After the first time I was able to cum this way? It’s gotten much easier….
I found tumblr from the Sex is Fun (SiF) forum… Please join me there. It is a place with intelligent, open-minded people who like to talk about sex. You have to register to see the forum; It’s free. Please join us and keep the conversation going. I’d love to talk to you.
/also, Sexisfun is the best podcast ever produced. Thank you Kidder and crew.
While I didn’t come to tumblr looking for community, I’m finding that is what is lacking—and ultimately making me feel that it isn’t worthwhile.
Tumblr is definitely about 1-way communication, not discussion. The service is intentionally limited to be that way. I’ve realized that this isn’t for me.
I started posting here about the time the sexisfun forum died (it’s still there… It’s just a ghost town). SiF was a simple forum for fans of the podcast (or THE podcast; the best podcast ever made—which sadly is also coming to an end) and, while active membership was always small, it was a great community of open minded people.
So, tumblr friends, I’m looking for an outlet. This isn’t it. Are there any sexually open minded communities that y’all are members of and would recommend? It would be great to have a chance to chat with y’all there…
